Dave Carroll is pleased to announce that his song "Now" from his debut solo release "Perfect Blue" has been chosen as the monthly winner in the Unisong International Songwriting Contest. 16 category winners and an overall grand prize winner will be announced on Feb 15, 2009 but for the months of June-September one monthly overall winner is chosen and prizes are awarded. "Now" is the judges pick for July and is still be being considered, along with the other entries, for top honours.

The East Coast Countdown, Atlantic Canada's award winning syndicated radio program revealed yesterday that the #1 song of the week is Promise To Pursue from my album Perfect Blue. 500,000 listeners tune in each week on radios across the country and via the internet so I'm more than pleased to share the news with you. This program is a democratic based chart so reaching the top requires the votes to get there. I therefore tip my hat to all the supporters of my music who took the time to vote for my single with so many other excellent songs to choose from.

IT MAY TAKE some getting used to, seeing Dave Carroll performing without brother Don at his side, sharing the harmonies.

But when the Timmons-born singer-songwriter launches his new solo CD Perfect Blue at Casino Nova Scotia’s Schooner Room tonight, he’ll have a new batch of songs that didn’t quite match the format of the popular folk-pop duo Sons of Maxwell.

Thanks for dropping by my new site. This is intended to be my home on the internet for everything regarding my solo efforts and debut solo recording, Perfect Blue. You'll notice that I'm using davecarrollmusic.com to promote my presence on both MySpace and Facebook, and there'll also be video available soon on YouTube.
